I am not totally sure what the lesson is that Peekay learns that is the most importing in cultivating The Power Of One is. In the Power Of One I think there are a lot of thing that could mean. It could be talking about finding something your are good at or where you belong.
Whats make Peekay the way he is, is wanting to become welterweight champion of the world. This is what he make his life around in my option. When he is seven and they tell him that he is not ready to fight that make him try harder, when he is told he can't do it in anything he will try harder.
When Peekay is in his first match everyone counts him out they almost always count him out. He win his first fight and all the fights that follow he will go undefeated his whole life that we read about. He was never handed one fight there are matches that that referee doesn't even want him to fight in but the coached promise if he is gonna get hurts or looks like he might they will pull him out of the fight.
No matter what Peekay ever does he always want to make himself better for fighting. He goes to be a grizzly man witch is someone who works with explosive. The reason he does that is to get bigger and stronger for fighting. In the ended he meets The Judge, his long time enemy and he finally gets closure by fighting him and beating him.
This has been a short essay on how Peekay finds his power in fighting being a champion. He works his whole life for it and never give up even when odds or not with him. We never know if he becomes champion but I think he did because he was undefeated tell that day. This is where Peekay belongs always fighting for what he want.
